Greetings!
COVID – 19 Update, April 14, 2020
We hope this email finds everyone safe and healthy as we each deal with the challenge of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Since our notice of April 1, the provincial government and Premier Ford have reduced the list of Essential Workplaces and had extended the emergency orders until at least April 23, 2020. As a testament to how fluid this situation is, while in the process of creating this update, it was announced that the emergency orders are to be extended for an additional 28 days! We had already made the decision to close to the public until May 1, so clearly, this is amended to at least May 21. We check the boats here in storage daily to ensure all are safe and secure.
Attached is a letter from the Ministry of Transportation to Boating Ontario Association clearing interpreting the emergency order and how it relates to marinas. Once the orders are relaxed and we are permitted to return to daily operations, we will be starting as if it were our spring opening. Reinstalling and repairing docks, preparing the buildings and property will be the first orders of business with boat prep and launch following shortly thereafter.
We are eager to get on with spring launch and look forward to returning to the water as soon as it is safe to do so. But as the outlook is still very uncertain, we ask your patience as we each try to adapt to the evolving orders and how they relate to our return to work.
As always, we will endeavour to update you as more information becomes available. In the meantime, we are available by email or telephone for any questions or comments you may have.
We hope all remain safe as we look forward to sunny days, warm temps and return to the water.
Stay safe
Karrie and Graham
